We all have a story.

Our stories help us to process and understand our relationships and experiences.

Counselling provides an opportunity to give voice to your experiences and develop a new vocabulary for greater insight.

In my practice, I’m committed to creating a supportive environment where you can explore your experiences in the context of a nonjudgmental, caring relationship.

In finding your voice, you can challenge difficult thoughts and feelings, confront shame, and develop new understandings of self. This process can help you recognize your resilience and move toward change through authentic discovery, growth, and renewed connection.

I offer a warm, empathic approach and work collaboratively with my clients, prioritizing their capacity for self-determination. I can work with you in short-term, solution-focused counselling, or build a relationship towards more long-term, in-depth work.

Together, we can create openings for new understandings that contextualize and validate your experiences, while shifting your perspective.

About

I’ve been providing support to individuals and communities for more than 20 years. I’m committed to social justice and work from a feminist, anti-racist, anti-oppressive perspective.

With extensive experience in counselling, public education, communications, advocacy, and community building, I’ve supported projects across not-for-profit organizations and community-based initiatives.

Areas of specialization in my practice include depression, anxiety, self-esteem and body image, grief, pet loss, personal and professional growth, and interpersonal and relationship issues.

I’m registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers & Social Service Workers and I’m a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

Why a social worker?*
Social workers are unique among helping professionals because they explore the challenges people face within the context of their families and communities and consider the connection between personal challenges and larger social issues. Social workers help identify the source of stress or difficulty, help people to develop coping skills and find effective solutions to the challenges they face, offer various forms of counselling and therapy, and mediate between conflicts.

Workshops

In addition to my counselling work, I have experience facilitating groups and delivering workshops on a range of topics related to storytelling and wellbeing.

My approach creates supportive, engaging spaces where participants can reflect, connect, and explore personal growth through shared narrative and creative expression.
